It seems that things are getting pretty serious: After having invested lots of efforts in the past 8 months to edit my poems, I hired today a professional editor to finish what I started. If I will not be very disappointed from the result, the next step will be to contact a publishing house and let the best designer I know, to do his part of work. :-)

The second ThinkYoung project was completed successfully. The conference in Brussels which took place on March 5 gathered high level experts, representatives of NGOs, students, journalists and other interested people to discuss again on Kosovo and to tackle a topic of interest for ThinkYoung and all young people of Kosovo: visa liberalization for young people of Kosovo.

As in the first Kosovo project designed and implemented by ThinkYoung, a documentary was shot, a survey was conducted and two conferences were organized. The documentary movie “This Summer in Kosovo” which was shot in August 2011, was launched in the conference in Brussels and in the past days its four chapters were launched one after the other also on several internet platforms. I was again involved in this project since the very beginning and was glad to have been able to be directed involved and appear also in the movie. I hope that everyone who has prejudices against Albanians will have the opportunity to watch it.

ThinkYoung with its wonderful involvement is again helping to bring Kosovo closer to EU and EU closer to Kosovo. There should be more of this kind of organization working at international level for making us all feel more European.

Lorenzo Jovanotti Cherubini, i cili sot në Verona mban një koncert, ndau sot me adhuruesit e vet në Facebook foton e mëposhtme nga e famshmja shtëpi e Xhuljetës në Verona.

We continue with our efforts to raise awareness among young Europeans on the situation on Kosovo. The second edition of ThinkYoung Kosovo project started officially a few days ago. The movie team spent one week in Kosovo to meet with young people from Prishtina, Gjakova, Prizren and Mitrovica and discuss with them on the actual situation of Kosovo. Going deeper into the challenges with which young people are faced every day will also help us to be able to better address the issue of Sustainable Development for Kosovo which is also our main topic for this new project.

What kind of opportunities does the economy provide to young people? Is entrepreneurship a path they could follow? Are they participating in the election processes and vote as they are supposed to do? How important is the role of females in politics and economy? Many interviews were shot. One colleague from Germany who joined the movie team this year wrote some kind of online diary which was shared on the ThinkYoung fansite on Facebook. Last but not least we will finally have a sunny Prishtina and Kosovo to present to a wider international audience.

The directors told me that the movie should be ready by the end of September. Looking forward to the results. I hope that this time we will be able to present it in several film festivals.

Unfortunately I do not have anymore the luxury of the time to keep this blog growing as I would have loved to. Still I have the time to look for, find, read and share good stuff. And the article I am presenting in this posting is a must read article for all economists who happen to love (and even better also write poetry as myself) but also for poets who want to learn on how to make a better usage of their language. As it is stated in the article:

... war ich in Gössenberg und las bei meiner Schlussveranstaltung vor einem großartigen Publikum.

Ich bin dankbar für die tolle Erinnerung, die ich in mir tragen darf.
Ich traf auf großzügige Menschen, die jeden Tag viel erleben und miterleben dürfen und müssen. Sie wachen sehr früh auf, sie arbeiten viel, und schaffen es ein Leben lang mit den Füßen auf dem Boden zu bleiben.
Ich lernte die Berge mehr zu schätzen und vielleicht das erste Ergebnis kann ich bereits dieses Jahr sehen und mit Stolz mit der Fremdsehen-Welt teilen: Ich werde einen guten Teil von meinem Urlaub auf den Bergen in Albanien verbringen.
Ich schrieb auf Deutsch und genoß es sehr.
Ich war Teil von einem tollen Team und wenn ich die Chance hätte, würde ich dasselbe wieder tun, ganz genau wie es letztes Jahr war.

Es war schön in Graz. Es ist mittleweile über ein Monat her, dass ich durch die Herrengasse spazieren ging aber ich hatte bisher noch keine Möglichkeit über meine Eindrücke zu schreiben. Mir fiel heute Oskar ein, der alte Grazer, der einst in der Mitte der Stadt stand und mit dem Finger auf den Boden zeigte. Oder zumindest so habe ich ihn in Erinnerung, dass er mit dem Finger nach unten zeigte. Ich habe nie verstanden, weshalb er auf einmal nicht mehr da war. Aber plötzlich war er nicht mehr da. Die Wahrzeichen einer Stadt können am besten von Fremden wahrgenommen werden, aber ich glaube nicht, dass jemand bei der Gemeinde Graz sich die Mühe genommen hat, damals einige Fremde über diese Aktion zu fragen. Der alte Oskar, der in der Mitte der Stadt stand, fehlt mir genauso wie Graz. Es war sonnig dort im April, auch regnerisch, schwül, kalt, grün, blau und grau. Bei der Lesung waren nicht so viele Teilnehmer da wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe, aber es waren trotzdem ausreichend Leute da. Ich las, wurde gefragt, wurde zum Nachdenken gebracht, antwortete. Das Publikum war zufrieden und ich war es letztendlich auch. Eine talentierte albanische Geigenspielerin, Silva Bufi, die in Graz an der Kunstuniversität studiert, begleitete die Lesung musikalisch. Herzlichen Dank Edith und Evelyn! Es war schön in Graz.
